We celebrate the spring/summer 2021 season with our first exhibition: Raw Beauty, a series of images created exclusively for ROWSE in which the London-based Swedish artist, one of the most celebrated and inspiring contemporary photographers, explores beauty in its purest form.

Full of poetry, purity and honesty, the series delves into ROWSE’s particular sensory universe of plant-based essentials. Skin, textures, aromas, everything through Scheynius’s lens is about sensuality –dreamy images about love, intimacy, beauty and the healing and transformative power of nature. Floral water is captured as a whisper. A pure plant-based oil as a caress. An invitation to celebrate sensitivity and raw emotions.

Born in 1981, Lina Scheynius started photographing her everyday life and her intimacy when she was taking her first steps as a model. In 2008 she began to publish her own books, diaries of explicit and poetic sincerity in which the artist explores herself, her lovers, her friends, nature and the lights and shadows of reality. Her images, which have become an inspiration and a  reference for artistic photography in recent decades, appear in editorials for Vogue and in campaigns for brands such as Jil Sander.
